Sucking thumbs...

As many of you know that Emma and Emily love to suck their thumbs, but they only do it when they have their famous blankets "AKA" Nikes. Not exactly sure why they are called Nikes.

Anyways....With Santa coming into town, I thought of an awesome idea. It's called DON'T SUCK YOUR THUMBS, SANTA IS WATCHING YOU! And to my surprise they fell for it! Well, kinda sorta! LOL

More to come :)

Hoilday's

Once again the Holidays are right on top of us. Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas is just around the corner, before we know it it will be Summer!

Our Thanksgiving was great...we had family members come in from California. Thanksgiving was at our home this year, that was a lot of fun. Not only did we celebrate Thanksgiving, my older cousin Dianna exchanged her vows to her new husband, Fransico, on the 28th of November. What a special day that was for her and for my entire family to witness. It was a great evening. The day after the wedding we celebrated Emma and Emily turning the 4! Wow, time has really flown by with them. I remember watching Meredith grow up and thinking, "Gosh it is taking forever for her to grow up!" Boy has it been different with Emma and Emily. Time has really flown by with them. It's hard to believe they are 4years old. They have really grown these past couple of months, they are really acting like big girls.

As we count down for Christmas, the Snows are once again stressing, making sure everything is perfect for our girls. Crazy how we stop everything in the world for our kids to be happy. What a true blessing.

I can't wait to see what 2010 brings us...CHANGE IS GOOD!

My Girls

Everyday when I wake up I am so blessed to have them in my life. In my eyes they are all three so perfect. Yes, they give me a run for my money, but I love it. Meredith is growing way too fast for me. I am not ready for her 1st grade year to becoming to an end. Don't get me wrong, I am so ready for our summer break! LOL I am not ready for her to grow father apart from us. I am so scared for her to grow up! LOL I know it sounds crazy, but I just can't stand it. She is becoming more and more independent, but yet she still needs me. I love that part.

Emma and Emily, what can I say! LOL Those girls are something else. They are so full of energy. Today as I was being lazy.....Emily crawled up and snuggled with me and said, "I love you mommy." How sweet is that? Emma is my kisser. She loves to come up to me grab my face and kiss my right on my lips. Such a sweet little girl. I am so not ready for them to even start school. Yes, in my mind I am ready, but reality I am not. I know I have two more long years to go, but I think about it everyday when I drop Mere off at school. I wonder to myself how well are they going to do apart? Do I want them together, or apart? I guess when the time comes we will make that decision.

It's so hard to be a parent. You watch the news and see the horrible stories about, predators, drug dealers, gangs etc....how do we protect them? I just hope that Ricky and I can guide them to make good choices! So scary to even think they could do anything wrong. I watched the Natalie Hollaway movie on Lifetime tonight and I guess this has made me ask these questions! How do you protect your child without being that controlling parent?

It's so hard to be a parent, but yet so rewarding at the same time :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know we did!!!

Grocery Bill

How much do you pay per week or month? I came across this neat website and wanted to share! It's really neat. Spend Smart Eat Smart...Love the moto! Here is our estimate: estimated $179.32 per week for your householdestimated $776.99 per month for your household. I am not 100% sure if that's right, but I will double check this week. I really never pay attention to how much we spend at the store. I guess I really need to! I wish I could be that crazy person that walks in with all of their coupons and ads. I seen one lady stock up and only spen $50 on her total of $300 bill. WOW.....

Weekend

As I posted on Friday Ricky and I had another great kid free weekend. We had a lot of fun at our deer lease. We checked out where our new deer lease is going to be. I am super excited to start making memories with our girls as they learn how to hunt. Meredith was 3 years old when we started taking her deer hunting. Its going to be a blast to see Emma and Emily in the stands this November. After checking out our new lease, we were off to Robin and Travis's house, our new friends. They are awesome. They will do anything for you.....Very nice people. They live on 30 plus acres and live in a metal home. Everytime I am there I just really enjoy there place. When sitting in their living room they have an awesome view of their pine trees and man made pond! They had a crawlfish boil and it was yummy!!! Here are the pics that I took. Hope you enjoy!

Joans Brothers

The one to the far right is her favorite: Joe Jonas!!

The Jonas Brothers have announced that they are doing a world tour. The day we found out my brother called us telling us to watch the 4:00 news. Meredith rushed upstairs to turn the game run t.v. on and moments later, I hear a scream! She learned the great news....with great joy she ran down staris and said, "OMG, we have to buy the tickets." I told her that I had to find out all the details. I went on Ticketmaster and nothing. Just a few weeks ago they were posting about the pre-sale. I was freaking out....Pre-Sale? What am I going to do? So last night a great friend of mine allowed me to use her early per-sale code. I was very thankful!!! Finally the sale begins, I was panicking. LOL I typed in the code, added how many tickets, clicked next and a little tab popped up. Oh no.....per sale code doesn't work. Now what? So I re-do everything. Clicked next and nothing. So now I am 20 minutes in and still no tickets. So I did it again, took a deep breath and it worked. Yay, I bought two tickets. Seats are okay, but hey at least we get to go! She has no idea that I was going to buy them. Stay tune for the upcoming pics of her flipping out over The Jonas Brothers!!! I am super excited...this will be her first concert....I can't wait :)

Brag Time.....

As many of you know that my older brother Ricky has a son name Michael, my loving nephew He is 9 years old and in the third grade. My brother called me to tell me that Mikey passed the TAKS. You know that annoying test they have to take to pass on. Well it's nothing like when we were in school. Which it was called the TAAS. Anyways....in 3rd grade in the loving State of Texas you have to pass the Reading to move on to 4th grade. And he PASSED!!! He was so stressed out and worried that he wasn't going to be able to move on to 4th grade. How crazy is that for 8-9 year olds to worry about passing a test to move on. Just one test will determine that....CRAZY!! My first year to teach for in 2004 I had to help the struggling students with the TAKS. I had one student walk into class crying and was rushed to the nurses office because she was having a panic attack. Now how crazy is that. She was an A-B student all year long and couldn't pass the TAKS because she couldn't pass the test. I am hoping one day this test will be gone forever. A child should never have to worry about passing one test! Just crazy!!! I can see taking it in high school, but not in elemantry school. Okay, off of my band wagon! LOL

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY WONDERFUL NEPHEW...WE LOVE YOU MIKEY :)

****How do I post pics the right way???****

Emma Rose moment...........

Something so sweet happen to day with Emma. As we woke up this morning to take Mere to school I noticed that Emma was very sleepy and quite. Not like her at all.....So we arrived back home after dropping Mere off at school and came back into the house to eat. After eating and cleaning our mess, Emma was walking around the kitchen table looking down. I asked, "Emma are you okay?" She looked up at me and shouted...."I WANT MY DADDY!" I then told her that he was at work, but would be home soon. Two hours went by and still noticed she just wasn't herself. I then asked her again, "Emma, what's wrong?" She then yells as loud as she can, I WANT MY DADDY!!! It was so sweet. Here is the pic of her doing it. Just caught her in time to take a pic. I am 27 years old and I still need my daddy. It just brought goose bumps to me. I hope they still need him at the age that I am....Daddy's are the best :) But when I am sick I want my MAMA!!! LOL

Meredith

We signed Meredith up for softball this season. She played two years ago, but that was T-ball! Her team name is Lady Texans and her number is 9. I think that is the number she picked, can't remember.....Anyways, I think I have become that annoying mom on the sidelines. As many of you know that I played on a select softball team when I was younger. Man, do I miss those days. Anyways, today was Meredith's 4th practice and I noticed that I am that annoying mom that yells at her kid. Well I don't yell, but I do get loud and get very angry when is not paying attention. LOL I think I am turning into my mother! LOL She is learning and catching on. I know when she gets more practice in she will do awesome. I can tell this will be her contact sport. I loved softball and basketball and dance. She is going to be my little cheerleader. Nothing like me! I guess I will hope that Emma and Emily will pick up dance. I can dream right? :) I will keep you all updated on Meredith's progress and how her games go. I think her little team is going to be awesome. Our coach played baseball and our assistant coach played softball for OSU. She is pretty good. It's neat to see Mere learn from her. She has a lot of patience for these little girls.

Keep tuning in...
